Day 1

Today is a day to relax after a long way to India and to recuperate before the long journey to the start of our expedition. The weather and climate in Northeast India at this time are exceptionally mild and delightful. You can explore the rich atmosphere of an Northeast India city and get a good night’s sleep.
Day 2
Dibrugardh to Yingkyong - 8 hour drive

Today marks the beginning of our grand expedition. We will witness the majestic Brahmaputra River for the first time and encounter its exhilarating rapids. As evening falls, we’ll settle into our hotel, where we'll have the opportunity to savor the local cuisine and immerse ourselves in the vibrant culture of the region.

Today, we embark on a scenic journey through lush jungles and quaint local villages. Along the way, we’ll encounter numerous cascading waterfalls, marvel at the breathtaking depth of the Siang Gorge, and finally arrive at our starting point. As night falls, we’ll spend our first evening camping under the stars, immersed in the tranquil beauty of the wilderness.

We'll wake up early and visit the Tuting Monastery and start our river trip with some blessings.
Today we are learning to work as a team. We run our first exciting class III+-IV like Neging, Palsi and Two Channels rapids today. We would setup camp at Pango, before the Pango rapid. Overnight camping at Pango.

We start the day with the big Pango rapid to enter the Ninguing and Marmong gorges. These gorges are one of the most remote and impenetrable tropical rain forest gorges in the world. After the Rikor and Zebra rock rapids we would set camp before a huge class VI rapid at Cherring (also called the Tooth Fairy rapid). Setup camp after portaging the Cherring rapid. Overnight camp at Cherring.

We paddle our way out of the Marmong gorge. Our team is already accustomed to big waves and rapids; we conquer them with ease and a sense of playfulness. After a few exciting rapids we would enter a float section to ground our boats at Alubadi for the night. Overnight camp at Alubadi.

After run the big Moying Madness rapid we would run several rapids going across the suspension bridge at Nubo. Further paddling through the one of the our favorite rapid Karko Killer, we would setup camp at the beautiful site of Geku. Overnight camp at Geku.
Day 8
Layover Day
Layover Day
A relaxed day at Geku. Morning yoga and hike to the nearby Adi village, relaxing on a sandy white beach. Maybe a short rafting day to shift our camp to a lower campsite.
A day of rest is essential to restore your energy and give your muscles a break, even if you don’t feel particularly fatigued. It’s also a wonderful opportunity to spend time alone with yourself and nature.
Day 9
Geku to Rotung (rafting)

This is a long float section passing across several Adi settlements and the confluence of Brahmaputra with the Siyom river. The river is gradually starting to calm, but we will still encounter exciting rapids and mesmerizing views. We setup camp at Rotung, where we take refreshing dip in the natural fresh water spring. Overnight camp at Rotung.

Relaxed morning wakeup. Largely a float day with one last big rapid at Ponging. After the rapid, we’ll stop at a beach where we'll set up our midday camp for this expedition. We'll sit around the campfire, share our impressions of the river, and spend one last night under the stars on this trip. Overnight at stay at camp at Ponging.
Day 11

Today, we will load our rafts one final time, set out onto the water, and paddle a short distance along the calm river to Pasighat. From there, after unloading the rafts, a vehicle will take us to Dibrugarh. Nice warm shower at a hotel in Dibrugarh, celebratory group dinner and relaxing evening tea. Stay at Dibrudarh.

In Dibrugarh, we’ll explore local markets to shop for tea, spices, and souvenirs. We’ll enjoy some tasty local cuisine and take a leisurely stroll around the city.

Flight from Dibrugarh to Delhi

Today, we’ll gather our belongings and head to the airport for our flight to Delhi. Spend some time to roam around in Delhi local food, sightseeing, etc and stay at a hotel in Delhi.

Depending on the water levels and the river’s flow rate, schedule may be changed and some campsites may be replaced with alternative locations. We always respond swiftly to changing conditions and will find the best possible campsite for our journey.

Minimum group size - 4. For smaller groups we are happy to do the expedition for a minor increase in price, or we can club you with other groups depending on availability. For larger groups (8 or more) we are happy to give discounts, reach out to us for the same!
